Discovering Your True North: A List of Values to Guide Your Journey

This comprehensive list of values is a valuable tool in psychedelic-assisted coaching, especially during the crucial phases of preparation and integration. Psychedelic experiences often open doors to profound introspection, making it an ideal moment to explore and anchor your core values.

By identifying what truly matters, you can approach the complexity of work, life and relationships from a centred and authentic place. This alignment with your core values ensures that your decisions and actions resonate with your true self, enhancing your overall wellbeing and life satisfaction.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, transformation or a deeper understanding of yourself, this list offers a structured path to reach those goals.

At FLO Coaching we often use this list as a starting point for our coaching sessions, to help our clients better understand what is most central to them. See the bottom of this blog for more detailed instructions.

How to use the list of values

The goal of this values exploration isn’t just self-discovery, but also living a meaningful, purpose-driven life.

The 110+ values in this list can serve as a meaningful tool for self-reflection within a psychedelic-assisted coaching journey. Here are a few tips to get the most out of this values exploration:

  • In preparation sessions for your psilocybin experience, look closely at the list and identify 3-5 core values that resonate deeply with you. These will provide focus for setting your intentions.
  • Examine how well your current life aligns with these chosen values across different areas such as work, family, friendships, etc. Where is there alignment? Where is there misalignment?
  • During your psilocybin session, feel your values by tuning in to your heart. How do these values become tangible in your vision of your best life?
  • In integration sessions afterwards, revisit your chosen values. Do they still feel right, or have your priorities shifted?
  • Most importantly, identify concrete action steps you can take to better embody and live by your top values. What changes can you make to align your life’s purpose with your values?

The goal of this values exploration isn’t just self-discovery, but also living a meaningful, purpose-driven life. With psychedelic-assisted coaching before and after your experience, you can turn your insights into positive life changes that honour your deepest truths.
