At FLO Coaching, we believe in customized personal coaching. Our exclusive 1-on-1 programs are designed for people who want to work consciously and intentionally on personal growth. No group ceremonies or standard programs. We tailor each stage – from preparation to integration – to your unique process and what you need.
Our business is all about attention, care and authenticity. We believe the smallest details make the biggest difference. That’s why we make everything ourselves – from carefully curated music playlists to accompany your journey, to self-written meditations to help you deepen your intentions. Even the meals are prepared with love, so you can enjoy nutritious and homemade food during your trip.
A quiet & supported location
The sessions take place in Anna Paulowna – just above Amsterdam – and are easily accessible by both train and car. In 2023 we made the big move from the hustle and bustle of the city to this quiet countryside of North Holland, an environment that perfectly suits the peace and attention we want to offer you.
Our homely garden house – surrounded by greenery – offers a warm and cozy and safe place for your trip. Not a clinical setting, but a living room where you can be yourself. A place that feels like coming home. Enjoy the wide views of the North Holland countryside, wander quietly through the garden or listen to the cheerful clucking of the chickens in the background. You will also get to know our dogs, Max and Saar, who always cheerfully welcome our guests. Max is a quiet and loyal companion, while Saar is always enthusiastic and playful – sometimes a little mischievous.
We provide fresh meals and offer the possibility of an overnight stay. This allows you to process your experience in peace and not have to return immediately to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Psychedelics-based ACT
At FLO coaching, we use a unique Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based approach to psychedelic experiences.
ACT is a scientifically based and effective behavioral therapy rooted in Buddhist psychology. Our ACT-inspired coaching sessions help clients develop a resilient attitude toward their thoughts and feelings. Instead of avoiding them, we teach people to accept them as they are. At the same time, we guide clients to make conscious, worthwhile choices that are consistent with their personal outlook on life.
Frequently Asked Questions
A psychedelic experience often raises all sorts of questions. Below are answers to the most frequently asked questions. Want to know more? Then read our blogs or download the e-book.
What are psychedelics?
Psychedelics are substances that allow a person to perceive and experience the world differently. Awareness of time and space may change. During a trip, everything a person sees, smells and feels may differ from normal waking consciousness. Colors are more vivid and things often seem to move. Psychedelics provide access to other layers of consciousness, leading to new experiences and insights. They are powerful “consciousness enhancers” that can be used for many purposes. People use psychedelics both recreationally and in therapeutic contexts. Examples include LSD, mushrooms containing psilocybin and DMT.
What is the history of psychedelics?
Psychedelic mushrooms and plants are found throughout the world and have a long history of ritual use. In many indigenous cultures, psychedelics are revered as sacraments and used in rituals to promote health, strengthen social cohesion and connect with the spiritual world.
The recent history of psychedelics in the West begins with the first synthesis of the drug LSD. In 1938, scientist Albert Hofmann first synthesized LSD. It was only years later, in 1943, that he discovered the substance’s powerful effects on the human psyche. In the following years, new interest in psychedelics peaked. Early research on treatments with psychedelics showed promising results, and treatments were increasingly used in psychiatry. However, research was halted when measures were taken to curb drug use.
Today, psychedelics have made a comeback in science. After a radio silence of more than 50 years, psychedelic research is back on the global scientific agenda.
What are psychedelic truffles?
Psychedelic truffles are legally for sale in stores in the Netherlands. Truffles contain the same active substances (alkaloids) as magic mushrooms: psilocybin. It is known for its mild to powerful hallucinogenic effects with colorful visions. Psilocybin is often chosen for its psychological benefits, including its ability to promote deep emotional and spiritual insights. It is often used in therapeutic settings to help people increase their sense of connection with themselves and others. A psilocybin trip usually lasts 4 to 6 hours.
What are the effects of psychedelic truffles?
Psilocybin truffles provide access to other layers of consciousness, creating experiences that are difficult to put into words. Common effects include an altered awareness of time and space, more intense colors, smells and sounds, moving geometric patterns, and profound self-reflection. Stronger effects may include reliving events, strong visual and auditory distortions, and a deep sense of connection.
The intensity of the experience depends on dosage, personal sensitivity, preparation, and the environment in which the truffles are used. The ability to surrender to the experience also plays a crucial role in the depth and value of the experience.
Who should avoid using truffles?
Truffles are generally safe for healthy people, but they are not suitable for everyone. Do you have certain mental or physical problems, or are you taking specific medications? Then psychedelics can be risky or even dangerous for you. The risk lies mainly in possible psychological side effects. People who should avoid truffles:
– The use of antidepressants
– The use of antipsychotics
– A psychiatric disorder
– A (family) history of psychosis, dissociation
– A (family) history of a manic episode
– A family member with schizophrenia
– A history of seizures
– A history of cardiovascular disease
– High blood pressure/hypertension
– When pregnant or breastfeeding
What are the positive effects of truffles on the brain?
In recent years, much research has been done on the effects of psychedelics, such as truffles, on the brain. Imagine your brain as a busy city with different neighborhoods. The Default Mode Network (DMN) is a busy neighborhood dedicated to mulling over the future, the past and making plans. When you use psychedelics, new connections are made between neighborhoods that don’t normally communicate much. The busyness in the DMN diminishes, while other parts of the brain communicate with each other more intensely. This causes your brain to function in a new way, with a fresh perspective and improved internal communication. It is like building new roads in the city, leading to a renewed perspective on yourself, your life and the world.
Why is the combination of coaching and truffles so powerful?
Psychedelics and coaching form a powerful combination that together can contribute to psychological flexibility and personal growth. Coaching focuses on creating a rich and meaningful life that aligns with your deepest values. It provides structure and guidance to achieve your goals and live a fulfilling life. Psychedelics support this process by enabling the brain to make new connections and break existing patterns. This gives you a refreshing perspective and access to deeper insights. Together, they can help you overcome barriers, expand your self-awareness and achieve lasting change.
Can I do a psychedelic truffle journey by myself?
Yes, you can do a psychedelic experience by yourself, if you are physically and mentally-emotionally healthy. It will be an interesting and enjoyable experience. But preparation is crucial. Get a good set and setting, make your intentions clear and ask a trusted person to be your trip sitter. This will help avoid unpleasant experiences.
From FLO coaching, we have written a free e-book. With the help of our e-book you will prepare yourself well for a (first) psychedelic experience.
A guided psychedelic experience offers additional benefits, such as a safe environment and complete relief. During a coaching program, you can dive deeper into your experience and gain more insights. The focus on integration helps you realize lasting changes in your daily life. Such an experience is a valuable investment in your personal growth and development.
